1 Pair of 3mm (UK11) Knitting Needles.

TENSION
24 sts and 32 rows to 10cm, (4in), measured overstocking stitch on 3mm needles, or the size required to give correct tension,
26 sts and 34 rows to 10cm, (4in), measured over kl, pi rib on 3mm needles, or the size required to give correct tension.

Shape Crown
1st Row. Kl, * k2tog,

Break off yarn, thread through rem sts draw up and fasten off securely.
TO MAKE UP
Join back seam. Using 1 strand 14cm, (51/2in) in length make two twisted cords and attach to ear flaps. See ball band for washing and care instructions.
MITTENS (Both alike)
With 3mm needles cast on 11 sts. Work in lxl rib for 2 rows inc 1 st in centre of 2nd row. 12 sts. Work 4 rows in st-st. Next Row. * K3, k2tog, rep from * to last 2 sts, k2, 10 sts. Next Row. Purl. Next Row. * K2, K2tog, rep from * to last 2 sts, k2. 8 sts. Next Row. Purl. Next Row. * Kl, k2tog, rep from * to last 2 sts, k2. 6 sts. Break off yarn, thread
yarn through rem sts, draw up and fasten off securely.
TO MAKE UP
Join side seams. See ball band for washing and care instructions.
BELT
With 3mm needles cast on 3 sts. Work in g-st until work measures 10cm, (4in), ending with a ws row. Cast off.
TO COMPLETE
Cut 4 strands of yarn 24cm, (91/2in) each. Make 2 knotted fringes across cast-on edge of belt, then the other 2 knotted fringes across cast-off edge of belt. Knot the strands of yarn together approximately 1cm down from edges of belt. See ball band for washing and care instructions.
SET B BAG
BACK AND FRONT (Both alike)
With 3mm needles
cast on 10 sts. Work in g-st until work measures 5cm, (2in), ending with a ws row. Cast off.
STRAP (Make 1)
With 3mm needles cast on 3 sts. Work in g-st until work measures 24cm, (91/2in), ending with a ws row. Cast off.
TO MAKE UP
Join side and base of bag. Sew strap to inside of bag to sides. See ball band for washing and care instructions.
HAT
With 3mm needles cast on 25 sts. Work in lxl rib for 2 rows.
Work in g-st for 6 rows.
Shape Crown 1st Row. Kl, * k2tog, kl, rep from * to end. 17 sts.
2nd Row. Knit. 3rd Row. (K2tog) 8 times, kl. 9 sts. 4th Row. Knit. Break off yarn, thread through rem sts draw up and fasten off securely.
TO MAKE UP
Join back seam. Make a small tassel and sew to centre of crown. See ball band for washing and care instructions.
LEG WARMERS (Make 2)
With 3mm needles cast on 15 sts. Work in g-st until work measures 8cm, (3in), ending with a ws row. Cast off.
TO MAKE UP
Join seam. See ball band for washing and care instructions.
SCARF
With 3mm needles cast on 5 sts. Work in g-st until work measures 22cm, (83/4in), ending with a ws row. Cast off.
FRINGE
Make fringing at each end of scarf as follows:-
** Take crochet hook and 2 strands of yarn, hook into edge of scarf, loop yarn round crochet hook, pull through end of scarf and then pull loose ends through loop and
pull to secure. ** Work from ** to ** twice more.

With 3mm needles cast on 12 sts. Work in g-st for 2.5cm, (lin), ending with a ws row. Next Row. * K3, k2tog, rep from * to last 2 sts, k2. 10 sts. Next Row. Knit. Next Row. * K2, k2tog, rep from * to last 2 sts, k2. 8 sts. Next Row. Knit. Next Row. * K2tog, rep from * to end. 4 sts.
Break off yarn, thread yarn through rem sts, draw up and fasten off securely.
TO MAKE UP
Join side seams. See ball band for washing and care instructions.
SET C HAT
With 3mm needles cast on 25 sts. Work in lxl rib for 6 rows.
Shape Crown 1st Row. Kl, * k2tog, rep from * to end. 13 sts.
2nd Row. Purl. 3rd Row. Kl, * k2tog, rep from * to end. 7 sts.
Break off yarn, thread through rem sts draw up and fasten off securely.
TO MAKE UP
Join back seam. See ball band for washing and care instructions.
SCARF
With 3mm needles cast on 7 sts. Work in lxl rib until work measures 25cm, (93Ain), ending with a ws row. Cast off in rib.
FRINGE
Make fringing at each end of scarf as follows:-

Work straight until work measures 8cm, (3in), ending with a ws row. Cast off.
BELT
Using 3 strands of yarn make a twisted cord approximately 26cm, (l01Ain) in length.
TO MAKE UP
Join shoulder seams. Join cast off edges of front g-st strips and sew
one edge to back neck. Placing centre of cast off edge of sleeves to shoulder seams, sew in sleeves. Sew up side and sleeve seams. Fold hem onto ws along hemlines and slip stitch loosely in position. See ball band for washing and care instructions.
JACKET BACK
With 3mm needles cast on 21 sts.
Work 3 rows in g-st. Starting with a knit row, work in st-st until work measures 10cm, (4in), ending with a purl row.
Shape Armholes
Cast off 3 sts at beg of next 2 rows. 15 sts. Work straight until work measures 14cm, (51/2in), ending with a purl row.
Shape Shoulders
Cast off 5 sts at beg of next 2 rows. 5 sts. Cast off rem 5 sts.
LEFT FRONT
With 3mm needles cast on 13 sts.
Work 3 rows in g-st. Proceed as follows:-lst Row. (Rs) knit to end.
2nd Row. K2, purl to end.
These 2 rows set patt. Work in patt as set until work measures 10cm, (4in), ending with a ws row.
Shape Armhole Next Row. Cast off 3 sts, knit to end. 10 sts. Next Row. Patt.
Work straight until work measures 12cm, (43/4in), ending with a rs row.
Shape Neck Next Row. K2, leave these 2 sts on a safety pin, purl to end. 8 sts. Next Row. Knit to last 2 sts, k2tog. 7 sts. Work 2 rows dec 1 st at neck edge in every row. 5 sts.
Work straight until work measures 14cm, (51/2in), ending with a ws row.
Shape Shoulder Next Row. Cast off rem 5 sts.
RIGHT FRONT
With 3mm needles cast on 13 sts.

Next Row. Wind off approximately 190cm, (75in) of yarn here to complete the neckband, slip first 2 sts onto a safety pin, rejoin yarn and k2tog, knit to end.

Work 2 rows dec 1 st at neck edge in every row. 5 sts.
Work straight until work measures 14cm, (5V2in), ending with a rs row.
Shape Shoulder Next Row. Cast off rem
5 sts.
SLEEVES (Make 2)
With 3mm needles cast on 11 sts.
Work 3 rows in g-st. Starting with a knit row work in st-st at the same time inc 1 st at each end of 4th and foil 4th row to 15 sts.
Work straight until work measures 8cm, (3in), ending with a purl row. Cast off.
BELT
With 3mm needles cast on 3 sts.
Work in g-st until work measures 32cm, (12V2in), ending with a ws row. Cast off.
NECKBAND
Join shoulder seams. With rs facing, using 3mm needles pick up and knit 2 sts from safety pin,
6 sts evenly along right side of front neck, 5 sts across back, 6 sts evenly along left side of front neck and 2 sts from safety pin. 21 sts.
Knit 3 rows. Cast off.
TO MAKE UP
Join shoulder seams. Join cast off edges of front g-st strips and sew one
edge to back neck. Placing centre of cast off edge of sleeves to shoulder seams, sew in sleeves. Sew up side and sleeve seams. Fold hem onto ws along hemlines and slip stitch loosely in position. See ball band for washing and care instructions.
BAG

With 3mm needles cast on 15 sts.
Work in st-st until work measures 5cm, (2in), ending with a ws row. Work 3 rows in g-st. Cast off.
STRAP (Make 1)
With 3mm needles cast on 3 sts.
Work in g-st until work measures 22cm, (83/4in), ending with a ws row. Cast off.
TO MAKE UP

Hip Band
Work 4 rows in lxl rib. Cast off in rib.
